What This Reference Does
Georgia public-record rules make many arrest and booking details accessible, but the record is split by custody stage. The Clayton County Sheriff's Office operates the jail and its public docket. The current roster and three booking windows show text fields, not a booking photo. Georgia Department of Corrections publishes state-custody profiles when available. Courts hold the later case history, and records requests cover material that is not on a public interface.
This site names those official systems, explains what each one can and cannot show, and gives a purpose-neutral path for requesting an existing record. It does not store official jail data, release anyone, or host booking-photo galleries. The originating office remains the authority for current custody and record availability.
Resources Collected Here
The pages organize the Clayton record trail by the question a reader is trying to answer:
- The home page's full path for recent county bookings, active custody, booking fields, photo requests, court dispositions, and the Georgia law that applies.
- Wanted Fugitives, which separates the selective sheriff notice from the direct warrant-check route.
- Arrest News, which maps Clayton News, regional outlets, agency notices, and the unofficial historical landscape.
- City pages for Forest Park, Riverdale, and Jonesboro, including each police agency's records path and the shared county booking destination.
- Step-by-step instructions for the county roster, 48-hour, 14-day, and 31-day dockets, GDC photos, and public-records requests.
Limits of This Service
Clayton County Busted Mugshots is privately run. It has no connection with the Clayton County Sheriff's Office, any city police department, Georgia corrections, a court, or another government agency. It cannot confirm custody from inside an office system or make an official record available.
- It cannot release, hold, transfer, or locate a person for an official agency.
- It cannot post bond, arrange a visit, send money, or file a request for someone else.
- It cannot give legal advice or decide which remedy applies to a case.
- It cannot guarantee that a phone number, fee, address, roster entry, or outside link is current.
Only the Sheriff's Office or the relevant corrections agency can confirm current custody, charges, or release. The courts control disposition information. Verify with the originating office.
